Cyprus is a small island country which is a home to numbers of online gambling companies  an island in the Mediterranean. Their government stay committed to blocking or banning the online gambling, with the cabinet passing the said rapidly moving drafted bill.

Last Tuesday, the associated press has been told by the Deputy Government Spokesman Christos Christofides that the bill – which still requires legislative approval – will lessen vague provision under the existing law which have turned a growing online gambling business in the country into a “social wound.”

Since 1850s when the government of Portuguese legalized the activity in the colony, gambling in Macau has been legalized. Macau has been known all over the world as the “Monte Carlo of the Orient” since then.

The biggest revenue generator in Macau is the gambling tourism which makes up about 50% of the economy. Chinese nationals from the mainland and Hongkong largely make up the visitors. About Three Quarts of Britain Adults Are Into Gambling

According to an independent report released today by the Gambling Commission, more people are getting involved in gambling. In the said report, it shows that about three quarters  or 73% of adults in Britain gambled in the previous year up from 68% in 2007. Common reasons of the huge majority of gamblers say that they get involved in gambling “because it’s fun” and “for the chance of winning big money”. As shown on the The British Gambling Prevalence Survey 2010, the British public take part in a wide extent of activities with still only a comparatively small portion of online gambling.

Poker Pro, Phil Laak Breaks Guinness Book of World Records

Philip “Phil” Laak was born on September 8, 1972, grew on the East Coast of the United States and now residing at Los Angeles and California. He is now an internationally recognized professional poker player holding a World Poker Tour (WPT) Title, a WSOP bracelet and also a regular on televised poker shows like Poker After Dark and High Stakes Poker. He is known for his iconic look at the poker table, he always wears sunglasses  and a hooted sweatshirt pulled over his head. His animated personality, joke at the tables and interest in joining in sometimes unusual propositional bets have also contributed to his fame.

On June 7 last year, “the Unabomber”, Phil Laak broke the world record for the most hours of poker played in one sitting after 115 hours. Setting a world record and having that record formally confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records are a meaningful achievements and Laak reached both with an acceptance of his 201- sessions as an official world record this week.

Have you heard of the Caribbean Stud Poker? Then if you have not, probably you’ve heard of its extreme twin in popularity, the Texas Hold ‘em Poker. As its name implies, this game originated in Caribbean. In 1988,  the Caribbean stud poker was first introduced to casinos. There are many versions of the true origin but, it has never been definitively proven where the game was first played.  Today, almost every actual and online casino carries Caribbean Poker Stud available for its players.

Caribbean stud poker is any of a number of poker variants in which each player receives a mix face – down and face – up cards dealt in multiple wagering rounds. Caribbean stud poker is a casino table game with rules similar to five card stud poker. However, unlike standard poker games, Caribbean stud is played against the house rather than against other players. There is no bluffing or other misleading techniques. The game rules and best strategies are easy to remember. Each set at the table has a player lay out and chip slot.
